Frequently Asked Questions

What towns do you hold your sessions in?

I'm based in Sunraysia, with most of my sessions taking place in and around Mildura. Every now and then I also head over to the Riverland for a session.

What packages do you offer?

I have three different session types, so there's something to suit different occasions, budgets and stages of life. Sessions start from $350.

A Session for You
Perfect for whimsy portraits, Wild Soul children's sessions, maternity or companion portraits. This session is designed for one person to be the focus.

An Heirloom Afternoon
Think birthday celebrations, tea parties or simply making an ordinary day feel a little extraordinary. These sessions include props and are suitable for any age, with up to four people.

A Keepsake Session
My family session. We'll head outdoors, explore together and capture genuine moments with the people you love most.

What is included in a session?

Every session includes a set number of digital images, prints, styling guidance and help choosing the perfect location. I also have a client wardrobe and a collection of props available if you'd like to use them. But it is not a necessity, if it is not your thing.

Do you offer newborn sessions?

Newborns are photographed as part of a Keepsake Session. These sessions focus on your family welcoming your newest little love, while also allowing time to capture a few beautiful portraits of baby on their own using one of my bassinets. These are not your typical newborn sessions but more of a family session.

Do you photograph debutantes or extended families?

Yes, I offer a limited number of both each year. If you're interested, send me a message and I'd be happy to chat about the details.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes, please!

One of my goals is to photograph even more dogs, so furry family members are always welcome. Just let me know when you book so we can choose a dog-friendly location. Some places, such as Lock 11 Island, don't allow dogs.

If you have another friendly pet you'd love included, I'd love to hear about them too. As long as it's safe for everyone, I'm always happy to chat.

When do you hold sessions?

During the week I work at a local school, so most photography sessions take place on weekends.

The exception is during school holidays, public holidays or throughout summer when the evenings are longer and beautiful golden light lasts much later.

There are no extra charges for weekend or public holiday bookings.

What happens if the weather isn't looking great?

I usually make the call the day before, or the morning of an afternoon session. If the weather isn't going to make for an enjoyable experience, we'll simply reschedule. I'd much rather wait for a day when everyone can relax and enjoy themselves.

A light sprinkle of rain can be amazing depending on the session.

What if my children don't co-operate?

Honestly, it almost always works out! I don't expect children to sit still and smile the whole time. My sessions are relaxed, playful and led by your family.

If one of your little ones needs a break, that's completely okay. We can change things up, play a game, explore our surroundings, or simply focus on other family members for a little while. Some of the most beautiful moments happen when children are just being themselves.

If your child likes to know what to expect, I've also created a social story that walks them through the session. I'd be more than happy to send you a copy to help your family feel prepared.

What happens if someone is sick?

If anyone in your family is feeling unwell, please let me know as soon as possible. We'll work together to find the best solution, whether that's rescheduling your session or discussing the next steps. Your family's health and wellbeing always comes first.

Where are the best photography locations around Mildura?

That really depends on your family and the look you're hoping to achieve. Once your booking is confirmed and your deposit is paid, we'll chat through locations and choose somewhere that suits your vision perfectly.

Do you offer styling advice?

Absolutely. Once your session is booked, I'll send you a styling guide filled with tips to help everyone look and feel their best.

Do you have a client wardrobe?

Yes! Building my client wardrobe has become one of my favourite things. I love finding beautiful dresses, especially hidden treasures from local op shops.

Some of the brands currently in my wardrobe include Aubrie, Hazel & Folk, Eden Art Dresses, Coven & Co and Tree of Life.

How do I see the client wardrobe, and is there a cost?

There is no additional cost to borrow a dress for your session. I brought them to be worn and loved.

I'll send you my wardrobe guide with photos and sizing. You can choose two to four favourites, and I'll bring them along to your session so you can decide which one feels just right.

Where do I get changed?

Some locations, such as Apex Park, have change rooms available. If not, I'll bring along a pop-up change tent so you can comfortably get ready before we begin.

When is the best time for a session?

The most beautiful light is usually just after sunrise or before sunset. Session times change throughout the year depending on daylight savings and the location we've chosen, as some spots photograph best at different times of day.

How long does it take to receive our photos?

Your digital gallery will be ready within 10 days of placing your order. Prints generally arrive within four to five weeks.

Do we receive sneak peeks?

Yes! I know it's exciting to see your photos, so I aim to share a few sneak peeks within a few days of your session.

If I capture any behind-the-scenes videos during your session, I'll send those through too. They're a lovely little keepsake and a fun way to relive the experience while you're waiting for your full gallery.

Do you have a studio?

At this stage, no. I've always been drawn to photographing families outdoors, surrounded by nature, so I currently don't offer studio or indoor sessions, as it is not something I gravitate towards.

Do you photograph weddings or events?

No. I leave weddings to the many talented local wedding photographers. We have some wonderful creatives here in Sunraysia, so it's worth taking the time to find someone whose style you love.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes! I usually offer mini sessions a few times throughout the year, with Mother's Day and Christmas being my regular favourites.

I'm also hoping to add a few styled mini sessions each year for children and pets, so keep an eye on my social media to see what's coming up next.

How do I book?

Simply get in touch through the contact form on my website or send me a message via social media to get the ball rolling.

I don't have an automatic online booking system because I love taking the time to learn about your family, what you're hoping for, and making sure we're the right fit for each other before locking in a date.

Do you have payment plans?

Yes! I require a $50 deposit to secure your session date. The remaining balance just needs to be paid before your session, and you're welcome to pay it in smaller weekly instalments or as one payment. Whatever works best for you.

Can we order prints later?

Absolutely! Once your gallery is ready, you'll receive a private online gallery where you can view your images and order beautiful professional prints or even upgrade to the full gallery with all of your edited images if you haven't already.

I have another question that's not listed here.

No worries at all! Feel free to send me a message through social media or via the contact details page on here.
